The website was designed by Kevin Cauchi. Joseph Scicluna was responsible for the content. Joseph Sultana and Anthony Mario Bajada contributed with over a thousand stunning and memorable photos.
After weeks of hard work the most important features of the Ghajnsielem Redcoats website are now in place.
This was made possible thanks to the expertise and the design of Kevin Cauchi who volunteered to do it. Kevin is responsible for the websites of most of the NGOs in Ghajnsielem as well as that of the Ghajnsielem Local Council. The most popular of his websites is www.ghajnsielem.com that has been in existence for well over 11 years.
Joseph Scicluna was responsible for the content which include statistics, write-ups and well over a thousand photographs. Several of the game reports were done by Loreto Scicluna.
It is the photography that gives life to a website and we have been particularly fortunate to have two excellent photographers who cover our games. Special thanks are therefore due to our photographers.
Joseph Sultana who is responsible for the photographs posted on ghajnsielem.com covers most of the home games of the Redcoats. Joseph dedicates hours trying to cover all of the events that take place in Ghajnsielem. This includes the events organised by the Redcoats, especially those related to the youth teams. Joseph Sultana was there to cover the most memorable victories of our youth teams, including the first one ever, 8-7 on 11/11/12, as well as the most recent 14-0 win a year later on 10/11/13, both coming against the Mellieha Grand Slammers. Joseph was also there to capture Kacey Grima hit the first ever walk-off home run in the history of youth sports in Malta on 28/4/13 against the Mellieha Blue Jays.
Anthony Mario Bajada also contributed hundreds of fantastic photos. He mainly covers the senior teams as well as tee-ball. On several occasions Anthony travelled with the Redcoats to cover their road games in Mellieha as well as in Marsa.
We set up share features in every page so that you can share pages that you like on every social media that is available. We would also like to know what you think about our website. We are keen to have your feedback.
May we take this opportunity to thank all those who contributed somehow to make the stories, to write the history on the natural turf of the Gozo Stadium or that of the Marsa Sports Grounds, as well as the synthetic turf of the Xaghra, Sannat, Kercem and Mellieha grounds. We also thank our sponsors and partners especially the Ghajnsielem Local Council who helped set up the Ghajnsielem Redcoats.
We will continue to update the website with all of our events and then share them on Facebook to keep you informed with our latest heart-breaking or disappointing defeats as well as with our glorious or memorable victories.
